Hometown Hunger DriveOn November 25th, with the help of 92.7 Shawn and Sue’s Hometown Hunger Drive, United Way of Ocean County filled a UPS truck with enough food to get 100 needy families through the Thanksgiving holiday. “We are so grateful for the entire morning crew coming down here to broadcast from our parking lot – in the rain!” said Lisa Giannascoli, Interim Executive Director of the United Way of Ocean County. “When we heard from Ocean County Hunger Relief that the fastest growing group of people visiting our area food pantries is young working families with children, we knew we had to dedicate United Way resources to help. This is how we LIVE UNITED in Ocean County.” |
